By creating an account, you accept these terms and acknowledge our Privacy policy. Keep your details accurate and your account secure.
Our account policy is 13+. If you are under 18, use Second Story with a parent or guardian's permission and guidance. They must agree to these terms with you and act on your behalf where you cannot legally enter a transaction or buy a paid feature yourself. An account does not override age restrictions on particular goods.
Buying and selling
Second Story connects buyers and sellers. Unless a feature clearly says otherwise, we do not own or inspect items, take payment for them, arrange delivery or guarantee a member or sale. Buyers and sellers agree the item, price, payment, delivery and any returns directly. Business sellers must meet their legal duties to consumers.
Check the item and the other member before paying. Keep records, never share passwords or OTPs, and report suspicious activity. Badges and automated safety warnings are not guarantees. See our safety tips.
Make offers and bids honestly, after reading the listing and auction conditions. Use the app's withdrawal controls before an auction closes if needed. Do not bid on your own item or manipulate bids. An auction result does not collect payment or arrange delivery.
Listing rules
Only list items you own or are authorised to sell. Use accurate photos, descriptions, condition and categories, including known faults. A category in the app is not permission to sell a restricted item.
Not allowed on Second Story
- All tobacco products, vapes, pods, e-liquids and vaping components, including nicotine-free versions.
- Illegal drugs, cannabis/THC/CBD and drug-abuse products; prescription and pharmacy-only medicines.
- Stolen, counterfeit or pirated goods; unsafe, recalled or adulterated products.
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and weapons such as tasers, knuckledusters and pepper spray.
- Protected wildlife or its parts, prohibited pets and prohibited telecommunications equipment.
- Obscene or sexually exploitative material, human organs or body parts, identity documents, account credentials and unlawfully obtained personal data.
- Scams, illegal gambling, unlawful services and anything else prohibited by law.
These are platform rules as well as legal restrictions: for example, we ban all tobacco sales even where a licensed sale might otherwise be lawful. Do not disguise banned items as gifts, samples or off-platform deals.
Alcohol, food, health products, animals, plants, electrical or gas appliances and mobility devices may need licences, permits, safety approvals or special sales conditions. Meet all applicable requirements before listing, including buyer age limits, and provide evidence if requested. Chewing gum may only be sold where a lawful exemption applies. A licence does not override our platform bans.
Check the rules for your item with HSA, SPF, SFA, NParks / AVS, Consumer Product Safety Office or IMDA. This list is not exhaustive.
Your content and conduct
Do not mislead, harass, spam, impersonate others, infringe their rights, distribute malware or evade enforcement. Only share content and personal information you are entitled to share.
You own your content. You give us a non-exclusive licence to store, resize, display and share it as needed to operate and protect the service and promote your listing. Deleting content ends this permission except for copies still needed for backups, safety or legal purposes described in our Privacy policy.
Paid promotions
Promotions are optional, one-off purchases through Apple or Google, not subscriptions or payment for the item. Check the final price, currency, duration or quantity before buying. Promotion does not approve an item or guarantee views, enquiries, offers or a sale.
- Spotlight: rotates eligible listings in featured areas, without exclusive or continuous display.
- Pin: places eligible listings above ordinary listings in category feeds and matching search results; positions among pins vary.
- Highlight: adds visual emphasis without guaranteeing a higher position.
- Bump: adds five non-expiring credits to your account. Choose an eligible active listing and manually use one credit to move it up in latest feeds and matching searches, below pins. You can split credits across your listings. Buying a pack does not use a bump automatically.
Timed promotions start after payment verification and stay with the chosen listing. Repeat purchases of the same feature extend its existing end time. Time keeps running when the listing is hidden, sold, deleted or removed. Promotions and credits cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for cash, except where a refund right applies.
Where editing is available, you may change the item in the same listing. Update all relevant details and honour existing commitments to buyers. Auctions, sold, deleted and moderation-restricted listings cannot be edited. Editing does not restart a promotion, move it to another listing, give a fresh bump or restore used credits. Deleting a listing does not restore used credits either.
Refunds and payment problems
We do not offer refunds just because an item does not sell, gets no enquiries, a buyer cancels, you change your mind or edit/delete a listing, or a prohibited listing is removed. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights or Apple or Google refund decisions.
For a missing or faulty promotion, duplicate or incorrect charge, or mistaken removal, contact support@mopy.studio with your order and listing references. If payment verification is pending, use Check purchases before paying again. Refund requests can also be made through Apple or Google Play.
An approved refund or payment reversal removes the related promotion or unused credits; related bump effects may be reversed. Unrelated paid packs remain available. Rights for a service we fail to supply still apply.
Removal and account closure
We may remove listings, stop promotions, restrict features or close accounts when reasonably needed to address rule breaches, safety concerns or legal requirements. This can include paid listings and, where lawful, action without prior notice. Contact support if you think we made a mistake; legally required notices and rights still apply.
You can stop using the service and request account deletion. This does not cancel existing transaction obligations. Our Privacy policy explains data retention.
Service and your rights
Maintenance, faults or events outside our reasonable control may interrupt the service. Members supply listings and messages, so we cannot promise their accuracy or a completed sale. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
We will publish updates and their effective date here, with additional notice of material changes where appropriate. If you disagree, you can stop using Second Story and close your account.
Contact and Singapore law
Singapore law governs these terms. Contact support@mopy.studio so we can try to resolve a concern. Disputes may be brought in Singapore's courts, subject to any mandatory right to another forum or remedy.
